April 14th, 2012, ATELIER 1022 Gallery in Wynwood will host its 2nd edition of LITERĂ – an evening of indie book readings, video art, documentary film, and literature-inspired art installations. Florida's own C. T. Douglas, creator of the Lore Trilogy, and Carola Perla, author of the exiled artists novel Gibbin House, will be on hand to read from their respective works and offer insights into independent publishing. Additional highlights include the Miami premiere of Homeless in Los Angeles, a documentary film by Sergei Zelinsky and Taylor Golonka on the struggles of street performers, and debuting art and video installations by Susana Perla-Mendoza, Ellie Perla, Carola Perla, Carlos Rodriguez-Feo, and Wolfgang Lehmann.
