Private Wynwood Graffiti/Mural Walking Tour, 1.5 hours long – $42 per person
Taxes are included; 15% to 25% gratuity recommended
Our Private Wynwood Graffiti/Mural Walking Tour provides an exciting, thought-provoking browse through the Wynwood Art District. We (your guide or guides) will illuminate the Wynwood phenomenon: its history, rise, and ongoing transformation. We’ll delve into stories of individual walls and art pieces, the artists, their techniques, and the meaning of their work. Though murals change from time to time, some of the international artists you may see on tour include Trek6, MSG Crew, and El Mac. Some of the beloved local artists featured on Wynwood’s walls are Adrian Avila, Luis Valle, Urban Ruben, Golden 305, Atomik, Camnut, Pixel Pancho, and Sara Molano.
On tour, we might touch on the impact of Art Basel on the area, talk about where the galleries have gone, or how gentrification has impacted the people who lived here when Wynwood wasn’t famous. We may cover the progression of tagging and bombing to throwups and bubble letters and beyond to better understand what is enocompassed by street art. You will have opportunities for unique pics and selfies and to ask questions.
The Private Wynwood Walking Tour is exclusive to your group and is scheduled at a time convenient for you. It can be further customized according to your group’s needs or interests. Tips for further exploration in the area and (if desired) on the larger local cultural scene will also be provided.
Private Wynwood Graffiti/Mural Golf Cart Tour, 1 Hour – $52 per person
Taxes are included; 15% to 25% gratuity recommended
This 1-hour ride crisscrosses the art district along and between NW 6th Avenue and North Miami Avenue. Your cart may ride along NW 2nd Avenue, which is the main drag of the art district, pass by the Wynwood Walls, and enter the Mana lot (if it’s open). The tour showcases innumerable murals on main roads and along the many smaller streets and various lots of Wynwood. However, the exact areas visited depend on the tour guides(s) and on what is happening in Wynwood. The tour guide(s) provide background information on the history of the area, on the constant and rapid changes that are happening here, on various artists and murals, and on the scene at large.Though murals change often and without notice, some of the international artists you may see on tour include MSG Crew, El Mac and Trek6. Some of the beloved local artists featured on the walls are Urban Ruben, Adrian Avila, Luis Valle, Sara Molano, Golden 305, Atomik, Camnut, and Pixel Pancho. Topics of discussion during tour may include graffiti techniques, the development of street art, gentrification, or Art Basel. Our tour guides have latitude to spend time discussing the topics they’re most passionate and knowledgeable about.
The golf cart tour does NOT enter into the enclosed pedestrian only Wynwood Walls; it only passes by it.
Private Wynwood Graffiti Activity, 1.25 hours
Taxes are included; 15% to 25% gratuity recommended
- $59 per person if groups of 10-12 collaborate on 8b by 4 foot board (the board cannot be taken after the activity)
- $59 per person painting directly on a wall
- $75 per person if each person has his or her individual stretched canvas (~2 foot by 2 foot)
- $65 per person if each person has an 18” X 24” art paper.
- PLUS venue rental of $1,200
The activity is led by a local graffiti artist, in an outdoor setting like a parking lot. (Our setup specifics may change with the location and over time.)
The artist teaches the group a series of tasks from the very basics, like how to hold the can, to painting thick lines, thin lines, dots, and letters. The artist demonstrates each task with explanation and then guests try it out and practice it. Then they’ll move on to more advanced skills like creating patterns, a drop shadow, or color gradient. Once guests master some of the skills of using spray paint, they start experimenting with the techniques they learned, using different colors, and designing a painting in their small group or individually. The artist continues to guide and explain, and s/he can also collaborate, helping elements pop and adding elements if desired.
For collaborative groups, if there’s a theme or idea they would like to incorporate, the artist can “throw up” either letters or the outline of a figure that the groups can then color in and work around. Or the groups can be challenged to come up with their own designs to embody a motto or company core values, or another set of principles, and possibly have a contest amongst each other.
Gloves, masks, and disposable aprons will be on hand for personal protection. We don’t recommend dressing formally, but we don’t have many issues with paint ruining clothes either.
What’s included in the per person price: canvas or art paper (unless painting directly on the wall or on a large board); spray paint; masks; gloves; aprons; artist fee.
Please note that guests will be required to sign a waiver prior to the activity. We can send the waiver ahead of time, or guests can sign them on site.
Private Wynwood Brewery Golf Cart Tour, 1.5 hours – $65 per person
Taxes are included; 15% to 25% gratuity recommended
Wynwood has 4 micro-breweries. The two veteran establishments are Wynwood Brewing and J Wakefield Brewing. Then there are the newer joints: Veza Sur and El Tropical. (A couple of other breweries have already come and gone). Each brewery has a unique ambiance. If you have never had craft beer, it is a very different experience than your regular Budweiser or even your fancy imported Pilsner. The depth and variety of flavor in craft beer is something you normally expect from wine. (That’s not to say craft beer tastes like wine. It doesn’t.) The many different grains used, the addition of fruits, coffee, and even chocolate during the various stages of the beer-making process result in a range of exciting flavors derived from genuine ingredients. All the breweries incorporate murals in their exterior and some in their interior.
On this tour, we will hang at two of the breweries and have a signature brew in each one. In-between brewery stops, we will explore street art murals large and small, international and local. We will give you some background information on the area and some fascinating tidbits and stories about the artists and the larger scene. Some of the artists whose work you may see are Adrian Avila, El Mac, Luis Valle, Urban Ruben, and Atomik. At the end of your tour, if you’re in the mood, we will drop you at a brewery, so you can continue your tasting journey.
Enjoy responsibly, aged 21+.
Private Wynwood Graffiti Painting Experience, 1 Hour – $50 per person (for smallish groups that want a new time)
Taxes are included; 15% to 25% gratuity recommended
When you arrive for your Wynwood Graffiti Experience, we will have surface (wall, board, canvas, or art paper) set up for you along with a table-full of spray paint of all colors. Masks and gloves will be on hand for personal protection. Although we rarely have issues with ruining clothes, it is best to come in something comfortable that you won’t mind having a few paint dots on. We will take you step by step through the basics of using spray-paint. We start with the very basics: how to hold, angle and handle the spray can and manipulate the pressure and length of the spray to paint dots of different sizes, lines of different widths, and to write letters. Then we move on to some more complex skills, like creating a drop shadow, making backgrounds and patterns, and doing a color gradient. After going through the lesson part of the Wynwood graffiti experience, you will have time to experiment on your own and compose an artwork of your own creation. Our facilitator will be there to give guidance and tips, and to answer questions while working alongside you.
Please note that guests will be required to sign a waiver prior to the activity. We can email the waiver ahead of time, or guests can sign them on site.
Wynwood Golf Cart Tour/ Walking Tour
$86 per person for 1.5 hours (45 min @ the Wynwood Walls / 45 min on golf cart)
Includes admission ticket to the Wynwood Walls
For large groups we cannot accommodate at once on golf cart, we can accommodate your group on this hybrid tour as follows:
We split your group in half. While half does a 45 minutes golf cart tour, the other half does a walking tour. After 45 minutes, they swap.
Your cart may ride along NW 2nd Avenue, which is the main drag of the art district, and venture west towards the Mana lot (if it’s open). The tour showcases innumerable murals and provides background information on the history of the area, on the constant and rapid changes that are happening here, on various artists and murals, and on the scene at large.Though murals change often and without notice, some of the international artists you may see on tour include MSG Crew, El Mac and Trek6. Some of the beloved local artists featured on the walls are Urban Ruben, Adrian Avila, Luis Valle, Sara Molano, Golden 305, Atomik, Camnut, and Pixel Pancho. There will be opportunities for group photos.
The walking tour covers less ground and delves more deeply into fewer pieces of art works and the techniques and meanings behind them. On the walking tour portion, the group will also visit the enclosed and ticketed Wynwood Walls area and explore its murals and galleries.
Private Wynwood Food Tour, 2.5 hours long – $89 per person
Taxes are included; 20% gratuity on food portion will be added; 15% to 25% gratuity recommended otherwise
Food Stops (chosen by us depending on tour date/time):
- 2 from the following: Bakan, R House, Love Life Cafe, Taco Stand
- 1 from the following: Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop & Cafe, Zak the Baker and Cielito Artisan Pops
Tour Description:
Wynwood is now as much a food scene as an art scene, and this tour bridges both. We have chosen food venues with diverse cuisines and flavors. We will intermingle the food experiences with the art experiences as we go from one food venue to the next. Based on your tasting experience, you may decide to come back for a full meal at one of these venues. We will also point out other restaurants in Wynwood.
On our walk between food stops, we will stop to admire and discuss some of the larger than life murals on Wynwood’s walls and talk about the artists and their stories. We will also tell the larger story of Wynwood: how it became what it is. What it was like here a mere 15 years ago, and who were/are its movers and shakers. You can ask your own questions, like who decides who paints on these walls? Or do these artists even get paid? What goes on here during Art Basel? Some of the artists whose work you may see are Trek6, MSG Crew, El Mac, Sara Molano, Urban Ruben, Golden 305, Atomik, Camnut, Pixel Pancho.
Private Miami Design District Tour, 1.5 hours long – $35 per person
Taxes are included; 15% to 25% gratuity recommended
We’ll explore the Miami Design District, enjoying all of the incredible art, sculptures, design and architecture there is to see; some obvious and some not so! For sure you’ll be glad you came. The Miami Design District is dedicated to innovative fashion, design, architecture and dining. The area juxtaposes design brands with restaurants, international art collections and permanent and temporary art installations, while its new buildings exist with transformed historic ones. Design showrooms fill the area, including Holly Hunt, Knoll, Luminaire Contract and Ann Sacks, while retailers like Christian Louboutin, Cartier, Louis Vuitton and Prada also saw the potential for the area and have opened stores here.
The district continues to evolve, and new renovations continue with additional luxury brands like Givenchy, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani and Van Cleef & Arpels slated to open shop. The long-term dream for the district is for it to exist as a renowned destination for cutting-edge fashion, art, design and culture, while maintaining its commitment to creative experiences.
Private Wynwood Walls Walking Tour, 1 Hour – $38 per person
Taxes are included; 15% to 25% gratuity recommended
The Wynwood Walls was established in 2009 – when the art district was in its infancy – and helped put the Wynwood Art District on the map as an international art destination. It was created by developer-investor Tony Goldman who played a role in revitalizing SoHo in New York, South Beach in Florida and other places. The Wynwood Walls consists of a series of courtyards framed by former warehouses whose walls provide the canvas for a series of stunning, larger than life murals. Some, like Shepard Fairey’s depicting Tony Goldman and other icons in an homage, have been here since the first year. Other walls have hosted more than one mural over the years. Some of the current and former artists of the Wynwood Walls include Futura 2000, Swoon, Kenny Scharf, Vhils, and Kobra and many others. The Walls also houses three galleries. Your guide will deepen your understanding of the history of Wynwood and the Wynwood Walls, tell you stories of artists and art pieces, and also take you outside the Walls to view some of the adjacent street art.
